Dalam Tiga Dekade, Hari Sangat Panas di Kota Global Melonjak 25 Persen

KOMPAS.com – Sebuah analisis menemukan bahwa kota-kota besar di dunia saat ini mengalami lonjakan 25 persen jumlah hari yang sangat panas setiap tahun dibandingkan dengan periode 1990-an.

Para peneliti memperingatkan bahwa jika tidak ada langkah cepat untuk melindungi jutaan penduduk dari suhu yang tinggi, akan ada lebih banyak orang yang jatuh sakit atau menderita akibat kondisi ekstrem dan berbahaya ini.

Melansir Guardian, Selasa (30/9/2025) analisis menunjukkan bahwa seiring memburuknya krisis iklim, kota-kota besar seperti Washington DC, Madrid, Tokyo, dan Beijing mengalami kenaikan signifikan dalam frekuensi hari yang panas.

Secara keseluruhan, penilaian yang dilakukan oleh International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) ini menemukan bahwa jumlah hari dengan suhu di atas 35 derajat C di 43 ibu kota terpadat di dunia meningkat dari rata-rata 1.062 hari per tahun (periode 1994-2003) menjadi 1.335 hari (periode 2015-2024).
